Lage
Das Institut für Verbrennungskraftmaschinen hat seine Räumlichkeiten im Hauptgebäude des Fachbereichs Maschinenbau am Standort Lichtwiese. Sie finden uns am nördlichen Ende der 4. Etage im Gebäude L1/01. Dieser Bau ist leicht an einem großen vor dem Haupteingang stehenden Zahnrad zu erkennen. Ebenfalls zum Institut gehören die Motorenprüfstände im Gebäude L1/04 und eine Werkstatt im Gebäude L1/03.
The Institute for Internal Combustion Engines and Powertrain Systems is located in area L1 on “Lichtwiese” campus. This campus belongs to Darmstadt University of Technology and is based in the South-Eastern part of Darmstadt.
Offices can be found on the fourth floor (Northern side) of the building for mechanical engineering (L1 01). The building is easy to recognize due to the massive red gear statue in front of its main entrance. Test rigs on the other hand are located in building L1 04 on the Eastern side of the campus. Parking areas are illustrated on the map below.
